Hello

I started C King Nails in May 2023 but I also work at Newmachar Pharmacy and have been a Dispenser for  John Ross Chemists for over 11 years. Alongside that I ran a franchise of Trophy Pet Foods for 12 years between May 2011 and April 2023 so I am used to running a business and delivering excellent customer service!  During my time with Trophy Pet Foods I won 'Best New Franchisee' and two Customer Service Awards which I am very proud of.

My early career was spent working for Grampian Police between 1998 and 2011, initially in the Control Room and then as an Intelligence Analyst and Performance Developer. I also met my husband Graeme through work and we have now been married for 15 years. I have two gorgeous step-daughters and two dogs. Kooki the Beagle is 13 and Brodie the black Labrador is 6. He often sits in on my appointments if my clients are happy to have him there and he is a very calming presence.

I have always enjoyed getting my nails done and started doing my own nails and those of friends and family a few years ago. My initial training was with Next Step Nail & Beauty Training Company and Katie Barnes Tool Range & Education. I have gone on to train with the Bio Sculpture Gel brand and am delighted to be a fully qualified Bio Sculpture and Evo Gel technician thanks to Re:New Beauty.  I recently added Elim Mediheel pedicures to my list of services and I love seeing the results for my clients' feet!

With my pharmacy background, I am particularly interested in maintaining and promoting nail and skin health. I use HEMA free gel products whenever possible to minimise allergic reactions alongside careful application. I really enjoy meeting new clients and getting to know them. The benefits of pampering treatments and social contact are well documented and I love giving my clients a little peace and tranquillity in their day, along with pretty nails of course!
